SODC Students collected clothes for The Eva Rothwell Centre

SODC Students collected much needed hats, gloves, scarves and coats that were donated to The Eva Rothwell Centre. The Centre, located in Hamilton’s North end provides resources and support to families in need. Southern Ontario Dental College is happy to partner with The Eva Rothwell Centre as part of their Community Service.

SODC students and faculty collected numerous donations for The Good Shepherd Ministries located in Hamilton, Ontario

SODC students and faculty collected numerous donations for The Good Shepherd Ministries located in Hamilton, Ontario. The donation included several items to support two community families along with a generous gift card for groceries. The Good Shepherd also provides shelter and services for the homeless and disadvantaged in the area.

The students of Southern Ontario Dental College rallied together to come up with 2 full boxes of food to donate to a couple of families in need within the Hamilton Community this Thanksgiving season. The food hampers were donated to Incarnation Parish, located in Hamilton.

Our students prepared Dental Hygiene presentations for students at St. Agnes Catholic Elementary School, grades 1 to 8. Presentations included discussions about nutrition, healthy snacks, taking care of braces, sports guards and the dangers of oral piercings …just to mention a few topics. April is Oral Health Month and April 10th is the Kick off for National Dental Hygiene week.

Southern Ontario Dental College partnered with the Good Shephard and with St. Elizabeth Villa to provide Free Clinics: includes cleanings, assessments & X-rays for those less fortunate in the City.
